About

I am passionate about Canadian wildlife and nature photography. Most of my photos are taken throughout Western Canada, from the islands off of Vancouver Island, through the Okanagan and Rocky Mountains to the grasslands of Saskatchewan.

Declines in habitat due to increasing development throughout Canada has taken a huge toll on the wildlife populations cross country. My work in photography is to study behaviours and appreciate the beauty of the natural world so that we can realize the impact our own behaviours have on wildlife. "Take nothing but photos, leave nothing but footprints", this old adage is an important part of educational and conservation efforts. Taking care to notice every detail is one way that can help develop a true connection with nature.

Each photograph I take is a result of spending countless hours, days, weeks and months tracking and studying animals in the wilds of Canada, from remote islands on the West Coast to the windswept prairies where roads end. Every photo has a story to tell and a lesson learned. All animals are ethically photographed. Wild, and never Baited.
